The course «Адыгэ Тхыпкъылъэ (Circassian Alphabet)» is designed for the person who wants to independently master the alphabet for the Circassian language (Western dialect), with no prior knowledge required, as well as learn over 400 Circassian words and 80 expressions. The materials have been developed and prepared by the linguist and specialist on the Circassian language (Western, literary dialect) Larisa Tuptsokova. This course is divided into 12 modules (themes), each of which consists of 6 lessons. The first lesson includes a description of the structure of the alphabet and an introduction to phonetics that will make it possible to work out the pronunciation of each individual letter when reading and writing. Several words are given for each letter, as well as simple expressions translated into English. Everything is accompanied with a video with sound and pictures. Each lesson consists of a detailed study of one letter of the Circassian alphabet and makes use of pictures as well as audio and video material. After each lesson there is a quiz-task to aid in retaining the mastered information and for self-checking.

In the course «Адыгэ Тхыпкъылъэ (Circassian Alphabet)» words are presented in each of the three grammatical persons, singular and plural, and several verb forms are provided. This serves as a preparation for the next level (A1) of study of the Circassian language (Western dialect) in the general course «Ныдэлъфыбзэ (Native Language)», of which «Адыгэ Тхыпкъылъэ (Circassian Alphabet)» is the first unit.

Access to «Адыгэ Тхыпкъылъэ (Circassian Alphabet)» is provided for four months, and the time needed for mastery of the material is estimated at four to six weeks.
